The Great 򽴫ýn Accounting People (GAAP) student organization hosted the 10th annual 򽴫ý Native Corporations Seminar in a hybrid event on February 8, 2023. The theme for this event was “Looking to the Future” and what the future of 򽴫ý Native Corporations will look like.

GAAP was honored to host several guest speakers including:

    • Audrey George, Owner/CEO of ANC Accounting

    • Jennifer Babcock, Village Support Accountant at Tanana Chiefs Conference
    • Tanya Kaquatosh, Vice President of Administration at Doyon Limited

These impactful community leaders talked about the change and innovation that 򽴫ý Native Corporations will be undergoing in the coming years. These corporations have a wide range of future goals, from military partnering to employing more 򽴫ýns. We learned that the possibilities are endless.

Following the presentations, questions from the audience covered a range of topics, including remote work policies and how COVID-19 changed the workforce.
