From Pilot to Graduate: How One Man Proved It's Never Too Late to Get Your Degree

A young U.S. Air Force pilot Ben Cason, stationed at Eielson Air Force Base in 1976, enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at UAF. After a 45 year break, he returned to school. He completed his final course during the spring semester of 2023, demonstrating dedication to being a lifelong learner.

In a proud moment for CBSM, three esteemed faculty members were awarded their doctorate degrees this spring, marking a significant achievement in their academic and professional pathways. By exchanging developing a syllabus a dissertation, they serve as an inspiration to their students and colleagues.

Honors societies have long been a prestigious aspect of academic life, rewarding students who have excelled in their studies, demonstrated strong leadership skills and actively contributed to their communities. CBSM is proud to have two honor societies: Beta Gamma Sigma and the Order of the Sword and Shield.

UA Giving Day: The Surprising Benefits of Scholarship Money

Skyler Smith, CBSM Student Marketing Assistant, opens up about the importance of scholarships through a personal lens. She was able to participate in UA Giving Day, an event that collects donations from the community to help students in need. As a recipient of scholarships, she shares both sides of the coin.
