Webinar: òòò½´«Ã½ Sea Grant fellowship opportunities for graduate students
Graduate students are invited to join a Jan. 9 information session with òòò½´«Ã½ Sea Grant Associate Director Molly Cain and current fellows to learn more about their experiences and how to apply for career development opportunities in marine policy and science.
The òòò½´«Ã½ Sea Grant State Fellowship and Sea Grant Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship provide 12-month professional opportunities for soon-to-graduate or recently finished graduate students interested in marine resource science and policy.
òòò½´«Ã½ Sea Grant State Fellows work in òòò½´«Ã½ with òòò½´«Ã½-based organizations and agencies on a wide variety of science, policy, and management issues. Fellow Jake Cohen will share his experiences working with òòò½´«Ã½ Sea Grant.
Knauss Fellows spend a year in Washington, D.C., working with hosts in the executive or legislative branches of federal government on substantive national policy issues related to aquatic resources. Fellow Kit Cunningham will share her experiences working in U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski’s Office.
The webinar will include an overview of both programs as well as a conversation to answer questions from prospective applicants.
