988: Three-digit dialing code for Suicide and Crisis Lifeline goes live Saturday

On July 16, 2022, callers can dial 988 to connect to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s (the Lifeline) network of highly trained call center professionals. Those in òòò½´«Ã½ who dial from a 907 area code will connect to Careline òòò½´«Ã½, where trained crisis counselors can provide confidential support 24 hours, 7 days a week.

UAF scholarship supports LGBTQ2IA+ students since 2011

As we near the end of celebrating Pride month at UAF, we would like to highlight a scholarship that supports LGBTQ2IA+ students and allies from the UAF community. In 2011, a group of UAF alumni and friends established the LGBT Friends and Allies Scholarship. This UAF scholarship is the only one of its kind in the University of òòò½´«Ã½ system.
