Hardware Recommendations
NTS offers discounts and stable pricing through our open-quote programs. NTS Technology Support Services can also provide custom quotes based on your needs and budget.
Dell Windows devices purchased through GCSIT or Dell Premier are fully supported by NTS. We cannot guarantee full support on devices purchased outside of these channels. When choosing a platform, select one that is not only familiar to you, but also supports the applications you will need to use. Purchasing Processes
Any UA Employee can now visit the GCSIT Store, a collaborative initiative between Government Computer Systems (GCS) and UA. Employees will benefit from year-round exclusive discounts and pre-configured UA devices, eliminating the need of dropping it off at NTS for setup.

- Select the UA Authentication option below to sign in
- Enter your UA Username and Password
- Select University of òòò½´«Ã½ Fairbanks as your Campus
It is also highly recommended that you add your address to your account prior to buying devices. If you use the default address, your equipment will be sent to UAF Facilities Warehouse, and could potentially be lost.
- Once signed in, select your account on the top right
- Select Addresses
- Select Add Address, then fill out the appropriate information

If you need a specific Windows configuration that is not offered on the GCSIT Store, please contact GCSIT at insidesales@gcsit.com with:
- Your Campus, Address, and Phone Number
- The type of Dell Windows device you are looking for
- Specifying any hardware requirements (if known)
NTS can work with you and your fiscal tech to secure a new device. By providing us your device preferences, we can prepare a quote from our eCommerce store. The Mac will be enrolled to the University and will start its setup process immediately upon unboxing, eliminating the need to drop it off at NTS.
If your device is purchased by any means other than our eCommerce quote, it will not be automatically enrolled in the University's MDM, (See the Kandji Apple MDM Migration Announcement for more information on this), and will need to be set up by NTS.
If you do not know what kind of Mac suits you the best, you may go to Apple’s website, , and answer a few questions which will help narrow down your choices.
Once you know what kind of device you would like, employees who are looking to make a one-time purchase should:
- Submit a ticket with NTS,
- List what device you are looking for, and specifying any hardware requirements
- Describe the primary use of the device (e.g., spreadsheets, browser work, specific applications)
If your department will be making frequent Apple purchases, we can work with your fiscal tech to help expedite the process, allowing them to generate quotes and purchase devices faster.
