Nanook Navigator Referrals

Instructors, advisors, student support staff, student employees (tutors, academic coaches, and more), administrators, and other employees can utilize the referrals system in Nanook Navigator. Employees can refer students to a particular resource or office by issuing an alert on the student's profile. The Nanook Navigator team highly encourages the employee issuing the alert to discuss this with the student before submitting the referral.

What happens when you issue a referral?

  • For most referrals, the system will send an automated email notifying the student that the employee has submitted the referral. This email will provide immediate resources approved by the specific department or office.
  • A case will be created for the connected department or office to provide outreach and manage.
