Exploring research collaboration between the University of òòò½´«Ã½ and U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories
Held in 2018, òòò½´«Ã½ National Lab Day sought to create links and explore opportunities for partnerships between the Department of Energy national laboratories and the University of òòò½´«Ã½ that would help òòò½´«Ã½ and the nation:
- Grow the economy
- Develop and implement sustainable energy solutions
- Understand the implications of a changing Arctic environment
Organizers aimed to increase awareness and understanding of òòò½´«Ã½â€™s unique energy-related resources, infrastructure and environment in order to:
- Identify research areas and mechanisms through which national labs could contribute to addressing òòò½´«Ã½â€™s energy-related challenges; and
- Identify opportunities to utilize òòò½´«Ã½ expertise and resources to support research in energy, climate and security at the national level.
